Jason Day answers your questions

New World #1 golfer Jason Day is certainly the man of the moment.

And he deserves it.

This young man has really worked hard to fulfil his dream.

If you’d like a little insight into Jason Day, I just found a video of a Fan Q&A session he did after winning the 2015 PGA Championship.

Three questions really got attention.

  • What scores were you shooting at 13 and 15 years old?
  • How many hours a day do you practice?
  • What goes through your mind when you close your eyes during your pre-shot routine?

Hold my young apprentice, I’ll tell you the answers he revealed shortly.

But first, schools in. Time for your lesson.
Now, not saying I was ever as good as Jason, but I know that if you asked me those same questions when I was in my 20’s and 30’s, I would have had exact same answers.

My scores where the same as his when I was 13, and 15.

I practiced the same hours as Jason (except for the 1hr-per-day-in-the-gym part – hehe)

And I used pretty much the same pre-shot thoughts.

(in fact those pre-shot thoughts are what you learn in the Power Point and Shot Maker programs)

However here’s the kicker. It’s not just me.

Pretty much every Pro has those same answers. (it’s just that no-one in the media talks about it much). We all were scratch as young teenagers or better because we worked on shotmaking. And we all got away from mechanical thoughts in our pre-shot routine.

You can choose to do the same.

The first step is believing that it is possible to hit the ball well – and create the shots you want – without mechanical thought.

Once you believe that it’s  possible, then we can get to work on actually making it happen for you.

Now…  It’s time for you to learn PowerPoint.

And as a little bonus — like i mentioned in yesterday’s email. I have a little-extra-gift for you.

If you’d like me to give you my little “three-word” pre-shot thought, that I said to myself while standing over the golf ball…

Then grab the PowerPoint lesson, and as an extra gift, I’ll send a download of the exact things that I thought and said to myself.

It will keep you relaxed and tension free, so your best, most consistent shots can come out. Worked well for my whole career, (including a stretch where I shot 60 rounds in a row under par). So yeah, I’m sure it will help you pull off some amazing scores – and great golf shots too.
